The Centre for Design, Analysis and Testing (C-DAT) was established in 2011 in collaboration with M/S. Sakthi Auto Component Ltd. The centre is dedicated to delivering advanced testing and engineering services to the automobile and engineering industries, helping partner companies improve the performance, reliability and safety of their products.
C-DAT carries out rigorous mechanical testing — including static, fatigue and impact testing — using state-of-the-art equipment such as hydraulic actuators and an impact testing machine with dedicated controllers. Beyond testing, the centre also runs skill development programmes and short courses for both students and external industry participants.
